PS2s are still quite affordable and tend to last, at least if you don’t use the disc drive a lot. That’s one console I still prefer owning an original of.
PSX (if you don’t use the PS2 BC) is nicely covered by MiSTer and also cheaper all-in-one solutions like RGB-Pi. Read more

It’s not you, imo Bonk isn’t that great. Its bright cartoony look drew attention back in the day but the actual gameplay is pretty slow, clumsy, just eh. Very mid. I can’t stay engaged with it.

CD audio failing and CD motor failing are two common signs of the caps going; the sooner you get it recapped, the more likely you’ll avoid the spillage causing bigger problems.
